  my heart stood in red
  red is how you are in all its pictures

  and while you were somewhere in the seamless sky
  - lips kissing the air, your mermaid hair and your arms flying -
  i wondered

  if, on that day, i had taken a step towards you
  would i have been close enough to give you my heart
  and these pictures of red
